“Daffodil” Filter Coffee Set

Year: 2016
Material and Process: Black glaze, reduction 1300°

Applying design details inspired by daffodil motifs in Chinese art onto the coffee set, makes it a decorative item with high functionality. The curve surface of the “petals” and the single hole at the bottom of the filter cup will help the water flow faster. There is an insulating layer in the cup that can keep the water warm. The wooden handle brings some softness and elegance.

“Chrysanths” Filter Coffee Cup

Inspired by gold and silver wares from Tang dynasty in Chinese history, “Chrysanths” filter coffee cup combines the traditional decorative pattern with practicality of modern lifestyle.

The uneven surface, which looks like Chrysanthemum’s flower shape, provides the ideal texture to keep water flowing while making grounded coffee fully contact the air.

The oak base can be easily detached and adopted to different methods of coffee making, giving an extra touch to the product.
